MyBucks Mozambique Mcb, SA (MyBucks) was founded in 2005 by Opportunity International, as a microfinance bank under the name Banco Oportunidade de Moçambique, before being acquired by MyBucks SA – a Frankfurt-listed company, in 2016.

On February 11, 2021, the Central Bank of Mozambique approved the acquisition of MyBucks by Xtenda Financial Holdings Limited (XFHL), a company registered in Mauritius, with operating subsidiaries in Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia.
